About Lālita

Linette "Lālita" Dunbar is a lifelong guide in movement, mindfulness, and self-healing. Born in England and raised in a family that valued both education and physical expression, she found her way to yoga through athletics and dance. Her journey brought her to New York, where she has spent more than three decades helping others reconnect with body, breath, and purpose.

Experience & Teaching

With over 30 years of experience, Lālita’s approach blends Therapeutic Yoga, Yoga Psychology, and deep awareness of the body’s natural intelligence. She has taught in a wide range of settings—from public schools and wellness retreats to yoga studios, spas, and community centers—sharing practices that restore balance and resilience.

Lālita’s teaching is known for its grounded warmth and thoughtful guidance. She reminds each student that yoga is not about performance—it’s about presence. Her classes invite you to slow down, listen inward, and rediscover your natural state of ease.

Practice & Philosophy

Lālita believes that healing is a shared experience. Whether guiding a chair-yoga class, leading breathwork for beginners, or holding space in a gratitude meditation, she creates an inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels seen, supported, and safe to grow.
